ASHLER is a PROG-GOTH band (progressive gothic rock) that is formed officially in 2005 in Quito-Ecuador (THE BLESSED MIDDLE EARTH!!!) with the following line up:
Diana (voices), Luisfer (guitars), JC (guitars), Chuck (bass) and Santiago (drums).
With a novel concept and a fresh and attractive image, ASHLER is working independently in the recording of their first full length album, after their debut with “January 13th” EP in 2006, which had a great reception from the local and international rock scene. The group also has been part of several compilations like Sexy Killer Records (USA/UK), Dark notes from the equinox, Attests Rock and Darkness #13.
ASHLER has been present in rock festivals of great importance within the Ecuadorian scene like: the Week of Rock 2005, The Gothvalley 2006 or Ultratumba 2007, among others, and has shared stage with outstanding local bands like Zelestial, Lago Gris, Curare, PDE, Sarcoma, Misterio, Los Imposibles, Alicia STXEP, etc. The band worked with Agni (SIQ) as sound engineer in its first EP and at the moment works with Osama (Santiago Albán) as official sound engineer of the group. ASHLER has motivated the interest of local and international media. It has been part of programs like Art N Living - KYRS Radio (USA), Influenzza Power - radioinfierno.net ( USA ), Cara a Cara con Rosalía - ETV Telerama, América Vive - ECUAVISA, Hoy Music - TVHoy, Buenos Días con Diego Oquendo - Radio Vision, De 6 a 7 and Paraíso Rosa - Radio Fuego and several radio shows in Latina Radio and La Luna Radio. In addition, several publications as newspaper El Comercio, El Universo, Histories of the Hidden Side Magazine and Darkness Magazine have written articles on the work of ASHLER.
ASHLER has a high sense of its own aesthetic and creativity, and thanks to it, is obtaining, little by little, a special place within the world-wide scene. At the moment the band is pre-producing its first album.
